Schoolgirl Cool: Fashion Week, Day Five



School was in session at Marc by Marc Jacobs! From pleated skirts and white shirts to sixties geek chic, Marc's spring collection is sure to score an "A" with the cool kids.

There's no question who the Marchesa customer is. The buzzed about label's front row was lined with red-carpet regulars, from Mischa Barton to Sarah Michelle Gellar. And designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig didn't disappoint with their dramatic party dresses and evening gowns. Barton, who sat next to our editor in chief, Amy Astley, oohed and ahhed to her over a little black-and-white number.

Look out for Behnaz Sarafpour's new collection of shoes. She followed up fall's ladylike heels with bright suede flats for spring. Our favorites? A round-toe pair with a big circular cutout trimmed in rhinestones.

You never know where inspiration will strike. Narciso Rodriguez's show was based on his comedian pal Jerry Seinfeld's collection of vintage Porsches. Rodriguez's chic minidresses were topped with glossy plates painted with actual car paint!

Kirsten Dunst made her fashion week debut at the Another Magazine's dinner wearing a banded skirt that premiered on the Proenza Schouler runway just 24 hours earlier.
